By the Waters of Babylon literary essay

Throughout our normal American lives, or what we perceive as normal, we all go through different experiences that shape us. In the story, By the Waters of Babylon, the main protagonist, John, goes through different Rites of Passages, having him be more brave, knowledgable, and mature.
